Business continuity and crisis management fundamentals including the planning, organizing, leading and controlling activities which must be undertaken before, during, and after catastrophic and crisis situations in order to properly and effectively reduce the loss of resources essential to the organizations’ eventual full recovery.
This course emphasizes the value of risk assessment as a basis of planning, and the determination of means to achieve a highly resilient organization as the goal. The course defines and provides a comprehensive understanding of BC & CM in all its phases. This includes the crisis planning and preparation process, risk identification, risk assessment, mobilization, response, recovery, and plan testing. Our instructors provide an overview of international standards related to crisis management and business continuity. International standards and best practices including NFPA 1600 and ISO 22301 & 22313, are all touched upon.
